No I'm not. The neutron is on of the two particles that make up the central nucleus of an atom, along with the proton. The neutron gives off no electrical charge, and is made up of two down quarks and one up quark. All atoms except the Hydrogen atom have at least one neuton in them. The neutron is classified into the group Baryon. Free neutrons are unstable, undergoing Beta-dacay. A free neutron's half-life is only 15 minutes.
